Reverend Ting Wang

Reverend Ting Wang was born in New York City, but grew up in New Jersey. He likes to believe that he doesn't have a New Jersey accent, but those who know him know better.

When Reverend Ting was 13 years old, his family made the trek across the country to California so he and his sister could both attend U.C. schools as residents. Of course, neither child did, and he ended up graduating from Johns Hopkins University with a degree in Economics.

Apparently, Reverend Ting didn't learn too much about money because he promptly enrolled in seminary, graduating from Westminster Seminary Escondido early this millenium. In the meantime, he pursued and pursued and pursued, and by God's grace finally earned, a PhD in Bible and Cognate Studies from Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion, still wondering what the "cognate studies" are supposed to be.

Reverend Ting was privileged to teach Biblical Languages at Stanford University for 3 years, and thankfully the New Testament Greek Class he pioneered there is still continuing.

He married Becky Kim in 2004, and they have neither kids, nor specific kid-making plans. So yeah, if you ask, that's what they'll say.
