The Board of Deacons
Deacons are to "hold the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience" as they [1] serve His people by caring about their welfare; [2] work together under our pastors' guidance to keep the church pure; and [3] oversee how our church's finances are managed (1 Timothy 3:9). Our deacons are divided into four groups:
Ministry to God
Responsibilities include worship, Sunday worship, Large Group worship, the liturgy, the program, and Welcoming (Deuteronomy 6:4-5). Led by Jeremy Kong, members include Albert Yi, Connie Kim, Frank Lee, Kenny Kim, Kimi Kong, Ryan Kim, and Tommy Lee.
Ministry to God's People
Responsibilities include caring for the congregation, education, communication, food, maintenance, service, parking, and transportation (1 John). Led by Chinsan Han, members include Basile Kuo, Ben Kim, Christina Yi, Esther Lee, Jessica Luo, Mannam Lee, Martin Kang, Sarah In, and Xuan Wu.
Ministry to God's World
Responsibilities include outreach, missions abroad, mercy ministry, evangelism, and community relations (Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8). Led by George Chong, members include Albert Kim, Angela Park, Danny Dokko, and Sarah Lee.
Treasury
Responsibilities include creating an annual ministry-focused budget, as well as collecting, managing, and distributing offering. Led by Steve Chang, members include Eun-Sook Yu, Lisa Yoshimi, and Stephen Lee.
