We know that all Christians are equal recipients of God’s undeserved favor. A Christian journey is not traveled alone, but in the context of a church community. As we strive to be a church cares for you biblically and supports you with where you are at in your life. We also know there will be opportunities where you will be uniquely equipped to provide that support to others, both in and out of our church.
Jesus said that we are the “light of the world” and “salt of the earth”, and that we should let our “light shine before all men”. (Matthew 5:13) It’s a clear statement that the church should be visible and present throughout the world around us. Ministry is not limited to group activities, but ought to take place around you, wherever you are. As we are dearly loved by God, we ought to share that same love with others around us.

Families attend Sunday Service with their children. After announcements and a prayer of blessings for the children, they’re dismissed for Sunday School downstairs. Dedicated teachers, adult and student volunteers share the Gospel through praise and age-appropriate activities while providing a fun, safe environment for children ages 6 months through 5th grade.

Parents and married couples meet after lunch every Sunday to share their lives with each other. Husbands and wives split into separate groups every other week for Bible study and on occasion, enjoy home fellowships and field trips with the whole family or group date nights where children are left in the care of church-provided babysitters.

Working professionals, post-college students and some married couples and families get together weekly in regional small groups across the Bay Area in pursuit of spiritual growth through relationships with other Christians—this helps our ministry be more personal and accessible in a church as large as ours. If you’re new, stop by our Welcoming table after service!

Our college students meet in small groups during the week and in large groups Friday nights on campus for Fellowship in Christ, Berkeley (FICB) and Fellowship in Christ, Stanford (FICS) to gain a deeper understanding of God and His Word, pray and keep each other accountable. Transportation is available for Sunday service.

Students meet in the downstairs sanctuary for Fellowship in Christ, Youth (FICY) Fridays at 8pm for service and/or activities and Sundays at 12pm for service and Bible study. We believe that the spiritual education of our youth is of the utmost importance.

Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (AWANA) is an international children’s ministry that emphasizes equipping children with the Word of God from Kindergarten to 6th grade. Their program includes scripture memorization, large group messages and games each week. This is a supplement to Sunday School and a fun way to reach children.
