Letter of Invitation

'Gather the people to me, that I may let them hear my words, so that they may learn to fear me all the days that they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children so.' Deuteronomy 4:10

This was the Word given to Moses as God desired to speak to His people. Despite their struggles, everyone from old to young gathered at the foot of the mountain to hear God's Word delivered to them. Our God is a gathering God! He gathers us to himself so that we may hear and do what he so lovingly commands. Jesus, while on earth, was also in the ministry of gathering His people. He went as far as to say, "Whoever does not gather with me scatters."

We, the leaders of KCPC, find ourselves convicted of God's call to gather His people together for the feasting of His Word. The call to gather is not a call of invitation. The call to gather is the call of uniting, becoming one. In the passage, God gathered His people so that, "I may LET them hear my words." I pray that God will convict your heart to hear His heartfelt calling for you to gather with His people to hear clearly His Word. Do all that you can to get there so that we can become a church united in hearing His Word.

Pastor Craven has been my mentor and my friend for the past 15 years. We are so blessed to have an opportunity to hear such a gifted speaker to come and deliver to us God's Word. The theme is perfect for our church as we all need the Holy Spirit to be our helper.

So come, gather together for the hearing of God's Word and experience what it means for the body to be united, to be "One in Christ".
