Seminars

We have designed retreat seminars as an opportunity for you to learn about a topic that interests you relating to the Holy Spirit theme. These seminars will be taught by the pastoral staff and lay people of the church.

Seminars will be 45 minutes long, and you will have the opportunity to go to two seminars.

Have Spiritual Gifts ceased?

This seminar will investigate whether or not God still works through New Testament spiritual gifts such as tongues, prophecy, and healing.

The Reality of Spiritual Warfare

"Exorcist" "Exorcism of Emily Rose" — Movies like these push the subject of Spiritual Warfare to the far extreme that we are not even aware of it when we are in it. I will cover everything from the extreme Spiritual Warfare to those we are numb to. It will be a rocking time. (Rather, a shaking time...)

Missions and outreach: Depending on God in order to serve His kingdom

There are many ways to serve God's world, such as local outreach, spreading the Gospel in foreign countries, and fighting to eradicate modern day slavery. This seminar will look into how to rely on God while serving his Kingdom.

Spiritual Depression: Finding Joy in the Christian Life

As Christians we often find ourselves focused on our past, our inadequacies, or our circumstances around us, rather than looking at the fullness of who we are in Christ. This seminar will look into the ways in which we can be consistently joyful Christians, and also encourage those struggling with their faith.

TransPARENT: Walk the Talk

What does it mean to raise a God-fearing child? How do you discipline with encouragement? Parenting is a 24/7 nonstop job, and there is no instant gratification. Yet, nothing compares to the joy of being a parent for one is sure to experience a glimpse of God's unconditional love as a mom or a dad. In this seminar, we would like to share Do's and Don'ts as God has taught us in raising two pre-teen children.

The Crucial Importance of Revival

Throughout the history of the church revival has been the means that God has used to awaken the slumbering church. Despite our greatest efforts to reorganize or rehash the church, what the church needs most is an outpouring of the Spirit. This seminar will go over the historical and theological basis of revival, what revival is and why we must pray for revival.

Service and Leadership

This seminar will explore service and leadership in the context of a local church.
